TRANSFORM ELECTRICAL ARE NICEIC APPROVED CONTRACTORS
What does this mean?

NICEIC (National Inspection Council for Electrical Installation Contracting) was established in 1956. Being a member means;
-
Transform Electrical Solutions are regularly assessed
-
We're safe and compliant with current regulations
-
Our work is covered by the NICEIC Platinum Promise
-
There's a formal complaints procedure thorough NICEIC in the unlikely event you need to.
WHY CHOOSE AN NICEIC ELECTRICAL CONTRACTOR?
Safety and competence
Contractors registered by NICEIC are assessed on a regular basis to ensure that they are competent and capable of meeting the relevant technical and safety standards, codes of practice and rules of the Schemes they are registered to.

Compliance with building regulations
Contractors registered to NICEIC Building Regulations Schemes in England and Wales are authorised to self-certify their work to the Local Building Control Body. This saves you both time and money when undertaking work that requires notification under the Building Regulations.

Complaints Procedure and Platinum Promise
All NICEIC registered contractors are expected to provide a quality service to their customers. NICEIC stand behind the quality of their registered contractors and believe that as a consumer you should have peace of mind.
They know how important it is for your to feel confident that, the work undertaken by a NICEIC registered installer meets the required building regulations or installation standards. If you believe that there are any issues, please raise your concerns in the first instance with us, we will try our best to resolve them.
If you are unable to resolve the issues directly then please contact NICEIC at www.niceic.com and they will explain how they can help.

The NICEIC Platinum Promise
In the unlikely event that a contractor is no longer registered or has ceased trading the Platinum Promise is an insurance backed guarantee, which enables us to rectify non-compliant work, at no extra cost to the consumer.
MUST READ
Recent surveys have revealed over two million UK homes require some sort of electrical repair.
Problems are not always obvious, so having our trained engineer test your system is best, but also get in touch if you identify any of the following:

-
Has it been more than 10 years since the wiring was inspected?
-
Do your plugs or electrical sockets get very hot?
-
Do your fuses or bulbs blow frequently for no apparent reason?
-
Do you have sockets on skirting boards with no on/off switch?
-
Do you have any round pin plugs and electrical sockets?
-
Is your wiring much more than 15 years old?
-
Do your lights have the old, twisted type flex?
-
Has electrical work been done by unqualified individuals and not been inspected?

NOT SURE IF YOU NEED A REWIRE?
Here's a few signs to look out for:

-
Many dwellings still have old rewireable type fuse boards protecting the circuits in the property. These no longer meet the required regulations, but we can often upgrade the fuse boards and earthing systems without major upheaval.
-
Old or inadequate wiring can be an urgent safety matter. If you find black coloured cables entering the fuse board get in touch immediately.
-
The old black cables were insulated with rubber which perishes and decays with age, eventually leaving bare wiring! This can clearly cause all manner of serious safety issues hidden around your property, from constant fuse blowing to devastating fires.

Other things to look for include:
-
Sockets on skirting boards with no on/off switch.
-
Metal conduits running to the sockets or lights.
-
Aluminium cable (primarily in use from the 1950s to the 1970s).
-
Lead sheathed cables (common in the 1930s).
-
Rewireable fuse boards (no longer meet regulations).
